Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and product-focused Mobile App Developer to build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS. This role is responsible for developing high-quality mobile experiences, integrating apps with backend APIs, improving performance and usability, supporting deployment and release cycles, and resolving issues that affect reliability and user satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Flutter or React Native and is comfortable working across the full mobile app lifecycle, from development and integration to testing, debugging, release support, and ongoing optimization. This person should be able to translate product requirements into smooth, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications while collaborating closely with product, design, backend, and QA teams.

This is a remote USA-based role, suited for someone with strong mobile engineering capability, practical debugging skills, and the ability to deliver polished mobile experiences in a fast-moving product environment.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Application Development

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS using Flutter or React Native
• Build high-quality mobile features, screens, user flows, and reusable components aligned with product requirements
• Translate product and design specifications into responsive, reliable, and maintainable mobile applications
• Ensure applications are built with strong structure, performance awareness, and scalability in mind
• Support both new feature development and ongoing enhancement of existing mobile products

API Integration & Data Connectivity

• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, backend services, authentication flows, and external data sources
• Work with backend and integration teams to ensure accurate and secure data exchange between mobile apps and connected systems
• Handle mobile-side API requests, responses, error states, session behavior, and data synchronization logic
• Support implementation of features that rely on real-time updates, user accounts, transactions, notifications, or connected workflows
• Ensure integration behavior is stable, well-tested, and aligned with app performance expectations

Performance, Usability & Mobile Experience Optimization

• Improve app performance, responsiveness, and usability across devices, screen sizes, and operating systems
• Optimize application behavior for speed, stability, battery efficiency, and smooth interaction flows
• Review and improve user experience by reducing lag, simplifying navigation, and refining app behavior in real-world usage conditions
• Ensure mobile interfaces remain intuitive, consistent, and aligned with product and design goals
• Contribute to a better overall mobile experience through practical performance and usability improvements

Testing, Debugging & Issue Resolution

• Fix bugs, investigate app issues, and resolve mobile-specific defects affecting functionality, performance, or user experience
• Use strong debugging and testing skills to identify root causes and deliver stable fixes
• Validate app behavior across mobile environments, devices, operating system versions, and release candidates
• Support testing of features, API integrations, notifications, session handling, offline behavior, and edge-case workflows
• Help maintain application reliability through disciplined troubleshooting and quality-focused development

Deployment & Release Support

• Support deployment, app store preparation, build configuration, and release cycles for Android and iOS applications
• Assist with release readiness, version updates, environment configuration, and production deployment activities
• Help ensure mobile builds are stable, properly tested, and ready for submission or rollout
• Support updates, patch releases, and issue follow-up after production deployment
• Contribute to smoother release processes and better post-release stability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and technical leads throughout the development lifecycle
• Participate in planning, feature refinement, technical discussions, and delivery coordination
• Align mobile implementation with business requirements, user needs, and technical architecture
• Communicate clearly about technical constraints, integration dependencies, and implementation progress
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering environment focused on product quality and user value

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in mobile application development
• Strong experience with Flutter or React Native
• Good understanding of the mobile app lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and release support
• Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs and backend services
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and testing skills
• Ability to build clean, maintainable, and user-friendly mobile applications
• Strong understanding of app performance, usability, and mobile interaction patterns
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment
• Ability to work across technical and product teams to deliver production-ready mobile features

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Familiarity with state management, navigation frameworks, push notifications, local storage, and mobile security practices
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication flows, Firebase, analytics tools, crash reporting, or similar services
• Understanding of platform-specific behavior across iOS and Android
• Experience working with design systems, responsive layouts, and mobile-first user experiences
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and release automation for mobile applications
• Exposure to performance profiling, crash diagnostics, and app usage monitoring tools
• Experience in startup, SaaS, marketplace, or product engineering environments is a plus
